MASTER OF THE WILDS
WildWilli Master of the Wilds is a character embodying taming the toughs, ruler of the hills and conquering villains. WiWilli is the sister to WildWilli, the main character described on the one hand as a super natural person with great strengths but on the other hand as one who uses his powers sparingly, preferably settling disputes by negotiation and compromise. Nevertheless, he is fully capable of employing deadly force but uses that reluctantly to forge a more pleasant outcome. Thus, we employ the phrase “peace keeper, humble servant and brave warrior.” WiWilli, taming the toughs, ruler of the hills and conquering villains suggest a tough guy but he is simultaneously unpretentious and accommodating.
The name of the main character was acquired not because he was wicked or corrupt, but because he was resourceful and ingenious. There was never an assignment that he failed to accomplish. There was never a problem that he could not solve. There was never difficulty that he failed to find a solution. For those reasons couple with his work under an Army Major General who was called Wild Bill, so he was also called Wild Bill as well as Wild Willi. He just knew how to get the job done. The US Army, during the latter part of his Army life, recognized this ability and assigned him to new organizational ventures (projects, jobs, augmentations) to more quickly develop them.
The name "WildWilli" dates back to the late 1930's. While he was called Will or Willi by cousins and close friends in those days, the "wild" was added while serving in the Military Service as a young Lieutenant. It was in 1962 when the Army Command assigned him to become a company commander to support the Army Support Command, then commanded by Major General William (Wild Bill) Harris, that he acquired the name "Wild Bill and Wild Willi' partially in recognition of the General he supported.
While WiWilli, taming the toughs, ruler of the hills and conquering villains describe characteristics of this young giant, his actual nature exhibited a far more tolerance for the opposition. He, nevertheless, represented a strong challenge to any force confronting his friends. Yet, he tried to be impartial.
Here is a brief capsule of the life of our hero. Only his early life is addressed. He was born in a small town known as Roseland, Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana. Roseland has a population of approximately 1,000 people and is near Amite, LA to the south and Kentwood, LA (home of Brittany Spears) to the north. The area is bordered on the East by the Tangipahoa River and to the west by the Amite River.
Wild Willi lived with dad (Nathaniel Harrison) and mother (Zular Mae Williams Harrison) until approximately six years old when his dad left home and never returned (he was found to be on the west coast serving as a merchant marine out of the states of California and Washington). Between six and twelve, the young hero attended school at Big Zion Elementary (Roseland, LA) and Amite Middle School. He later attended high school in Kentwood and Scotlandville (Baton Rouge, LA). During some of these years, he experienced life’s maturation in the countryside (let’s call it Meadow Flats) of Roseland, LA where he lived for a part of that time. This story is built around his experience during these years.
